What is the Task Force Animal Hospital?
The Task Force Animal Hospital will be the first of its kind in Calgary; a not-for-profit operation offering full-service veterinary care, including spay and neuter procedures, vaccinations, routine wellness checks, and life-saving procedures.

To keep companion animals and their families united by providing high-quality, accessible veterinary care for people facing hardships and partner animal welfare organizations.

To create a compassionate community where every animal receives the quality care they deserve.
OUR Clients
The hospital will provide subsidized services to pet owners whose income falls below the Low Income Cut Off (LICO) table, Assured Income for Severely Handicapped (AISH) recipients, social assistance recipients, those who are referred through a social worker or have animals affected by natural disasters.
Additionally, the hospital will support animal welfare organizations that can’t keep up with the growing number of relinquished animals, with subsidized veterinary care.

Pets offer more than companionship
For seniors, those with low income, and people supported by Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH), pets provide comfort in a world that can often feel overwhelming and chaotic.
Pets help reduce the negative feelings common among people experiencing homelessness. Having a pet to care for can motivate unhoused individuals to seek shelter and engage in social services, resulting in improved well-being.
