Dedicated to providing accessible care, made possible through generous donations.
Task Force Animal Hospital
Our Animal Hospital is a nonprofit veterinary clinic in Calgary dedicated to keeping pets with the people who love them. By providing accessible veterinary care, we support pet guardians who might otherwise encounter barriers when seeking care for their animals. Through compassion, partnership, and community-focused solutions, the hospital helps strengthen the human–animal bond across Alberta.
Full Service Veterinary Facility
The Task Force Animal Hospital offers a range of services including spay and neuter surgery, preventative care, parasite treatment, diagnostics, and medical treatment for cats and dogs belonging to marginalized owners and individuals under various social assistance programs.
Our nonprofit model focuses on accessibility, ensuring more pets receive the care they need to stay healthy and remain with their families.
Compassion + Security
High Volume Spay + Neuter
In partnership with the Canadian Animal Task Force, the hospital provides a designated space for spay neuter surgeries, tattoo, vaccinate and deworm a large number of companion or community cats and dogs in one day.
In 2025, we introduced CATFixin’ Fridays — an initiative focused on Trap–Neuter–Return (TNR) for community cats living in managed colonies. Through this effort, more than 220 cats from multiple properties were humanely trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites, permanently identified with a tattoo, ear tipped, and released back at home where dedicated local caregivers oversee their wellbeing.
This approach allows these cats the chance to thrive while helping stabilize colony populations in a humane and more sustainable way. Learn more here.
Collab with Animal Welfare Orgs
Building upon more than a decade of collaboration with animal welfare organizations, the Canadian Animal Task Force continues to strengthen a connected network of over 50 rescue partners working across Alberta. Through these partnerships, organizations are able to expand their capacity to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals.
Twenty partner organizations regularly access veterinary services through the Task Force Animal Hospital to support their own rescue and care programs, creating a coordinated system of veterinary care and animal welfare support that helps more animals receive the treatment and placement they need.
